CannonDesign were the architects to the Design, Build, Finance and Maintain consortium responsible for the design as constructed and are the Architects of Record

Smith + Andersen were the engineers representing the owners.

St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton is a mental health and addiction hospital that provides an integrated approach to education, research and clinical care. The new 830,000 sf facility houses 305 mental health and addiction inpatient beds, mental health and medical outpatient clinics, clinical and administrative support, and education and research space. The new healthcare facility is LEED Gold Certified.

Smith + Andersen were the Mechanical Compliance Engineers responsible for the preparation and governance of the mechanical output specifications and related performance documents as well as design and site peer review. The project was delivered under the Government of Ontario's Infrastructure Ontario Alternative Finance Program. Smith + Andersen worked closely with Infrastructure Ontario consultants to assist in the evaluation and selection of the DBFM consortium during the Project RFQ and Project RFP process.
