A trusted professional in the industry for more than 30 years, Anca’s engineering experience spans the entirety of western Canada. As her career has progressed, she has naturally gravitated to mixed-use and multi-unit residential buildings, civic and community centres, and educational and healthcare facilities. Her work includes large Public Private Partnership (P3) projects, such as the Interior Heart and Surgical Centre at Kelowna General Hospital. 

Anca’s comprehensive portfolio is a strong addition to Smith + Andersen’s Vancouver team, which she joined in 2023. Her leadership also adds a level of practicality and attention to detail that truly makes a difference on projects. Her work is defined by a keen understanding of client needs, and providing innovative and cost-effective solutions, no matter the size or complexity of the project.

Anca is passionate about mentoring young engineers, and is committed to creating an environment that encourages open communication, information sharing, and creativity. She is an active member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC), as well as a LEED Accredited Professional.
