The devil's in the details.

Designed by renowned architect Roberto Baciocchi, the Prada flagship store in downtown Vancouver officially opened its doors in 2016. Located in the “luxury zone” of Vancouver’s shopping district, the store stands as a testament to the international fashion label, establishing a space that defines the Prada experience for local shoppers. The store’s ground floor features two entrances, one dedicated to women’s leather goods, and the other to women’s footwear.

Smith + Andersen was engaged to provide mechanical and electrical engineering for this project, working closely with dkstudio (the compliance architect) to achieve the client’s overall vision. All mechanical systems were meticulously designed and coordinated so as to go as unnoticed as possible. The lighting and electrical design was focused on complementing, rather than competing with, the brand standards of Prada.
